At the meeting of the inhabitants of the Town of Brookhaven convened at the house of Daniel Davis in Coram on Saturday the 2nd of June 1821. John S. Mount was chosen chairman and W. Sidney Smith Secretary.
Resolved that Linus C. Miller, John M. Williamson and Samuel F. Norton be and they are hereby appointed Delegates on the part of this town with instructions to repair to Riverhead on Thursday the 7th inst. at 11 o'clock and in conjunction with other delegates to be appointed by the Town of Southold and Riverhead solicit and nominate a suitable party of candidates for the office of Representative in the convention to amend the constitution of this state.
Resolved that the chair man and secretary sign the proceedings of this meeting and cause a copy to be forwarded to each of the aforesaid delegates
