My dear Mount,
I enclose you two or three scraps upon art. The Academy had one of their art suppers last. I went, saw you were not there, remained ten minutes and bolted. Come down soon old fellow and we'll have some fun. Write me some news about fish, flounders, flat fish &c &c. I'm coming down upon your New York Gallery pictures in a few days about 240. My book upon American Painters will be published in England, and I'll tell the(m)- about you - I reckon.
That's one of the things I know how to do. I have a book upon art by Tuckerman which I'll give you when you come to town.
Truly yours in great haste,
