Title The Flight Into Egypt

KING HEROD'S soul was stirred
With jea1ousy and scorn
When from the wise men he had heard
Another King was born!
He feared to lose his throne,
And in his anger wild
Resolved to slay the Holy One
Whi1e He was yet ,a child!
An angel in a dream
To Joseph came by night,
To warn him of the cruel scheme,
To bid him take to flight.
So, far to Egypt's shore,
He with the Infant fled,
Till Herod's wrath could rage no more
Until the king was dead.
