My dear Mount
What are you doing? Where are you? Why don't you report here? Our littler family circle, headed by dear good mother, says &has said frequently, what has become of Wm. Mount?
So I write to inquire & hope you will respond either by letter or in person and that before long. Enclosed please find the reports of Long Island Historical Society - to which body I hope you belong
or you are just the party to help collect & keep items of great interest of L.I. origin. - You will find C.W. Carrington a wide awake good fellow and if you like to know him if you already know him not, I will be happy to be the medium of introduction.
What are you going to exhibit at the Artists Fund? Don't forget us! Pictures will be in time on the 9th Nov-
Most of the artistic brethren are still absent but they will be here soon.
Cold the Hills & the waning of the autumnal will them right off - The few returned speak of much bad weather & of but little achieved during the season
Very truly yours
W.S. Mount Esqr.
