Title Tutie
Creator Shepard Alonzo Mount
Dates of Creation 18??/??/??
Scope & Content When forced to part with those we love
Though sure to meet tomorrow
We get a kind of anguish prove
And oft a touch of sorrow. But
Oh, what can paint our fears
When from those friends we sever
Perhaps to part for months, for years
Perhaps to part forever

Thou too art doomed to have thy
Days of sorrow. But oh when dark
And angry clouds shall hover around thee
Tis then that I would have this call
Up to the mind one thought of her who lives thee
Tutie

Forget me not although I die
Nor think that love is past
Because one fond devoted eye has looked on thee at last
On thee at last, for love the love of
Early years that knows no faltering trust
Grows deeper when `tis wet with tears
And stronger in the dust

When from home and friends _ing
And from hearts that ache to bleeding
When the water flows beside them
And the sky is bright above them
Think how long the night will be
To those eyes that weep for thee
Tutie
