A number of the records pertain to the schooner Sea Witch, including an account book of sailor's wages, freight carried and expenses, and correspondence between Captain Daniel S. Hawkins and Jeremiah Wheeler regarding a collision with another vessel in Hampton Roads, Virginia, 1858. Also correspondence with J. Lawrence Smith regarding financial matters; a deed between Mary Williamson and Daniel Y. Williamson for property in Brooklyn, 1844; bills, accounts and correspondence of Williamson as trustee of a school district in the towns of Brookhaven and Smithtown, 1850's and 1860's; papers relating to Saint James Episcopal Church in Saint James, Long Island, 1869-1878; miscellaneous papers of John M. Williamson; plus licenses, permits, advertising fliers, broadsides, trade cards, newspapers and other papers.
