Stony Brook, May 17th, 1842
Brother Shepard and myself left the City for Stony Brook on Saturday morning at 7 o'clock-too early an hour to call upon you, which we regretted as we were anxious for you to accompany us home. This is to inform you that I shall remain here for a few days before I make another move, and to make known my desire to receive a visit from you forthwith-as early as Thursday or Friday of this week if consistent with your engagements. On Friday the mail will land you here at 6 o'clock P.M.
I have some thoughts of seeing Norwich in the course of next week.
Yours truly, Wm S. Mount .
P.S. The Steam Boat Comet will leave Fulton Market slip Saturday Morning at 7:00.
