To Wm. Schaus Esqr.
On my return home, I found the model I so much desired for your picture-had sailed. I am happy to state that I feel quite in the humour for painting, and only wish I could paint up at once your orders, but on looking over my list of engagements I find you must have patience with me as other good souls have done.
I am now painting a picture which you shall see in due time.
Brother Shepard will be down to the City with his beautiful picture this week.
The Ladies desire to be remembered to you.
Yours, as ever
Wm. S. Mount
