My Dear Mr. Mount:
I am enclosing a piece of poetry written by Mr. Shepard A. Mount many years ago. You may have a copy of it, but I thought you had better have tis too.
I have enjoyed your articles in the "Port Jefferson Times" of the" old time " doings forty or fifty years ago, the most of which I remember very well, being 85 years old myself. Upon receiving the paper I always first look for your articles, generally on the inside pages.
I was wondering if you cared for the "Messenger" being sent you from Smithtown.
Yours truly,
Eve D. Smith
