Jonathan Sturges Esqr.
I thank you for waiting so patiently for your picture. It is almost finished. I shall endeavour to make it creditable to both of us, so that we shall be able to go down to posterity clinging to the skirts of Dr. Franklin's coat tail. I believe he is the author of "Who'll turn Grindstone." It has engaged my attention from time to time, ever since you gave me the commission.
I expect to be in the City about the 20th inst. with the picture.Ihope Mr. Conely will have the frame ready.
Please give my respects to Mrs. Sturges, and believe me yours sincerely
Wm. S. Mount
