HOW TO SAVE THE UNION
To the Editor of the Herald
Stony Brook L.I., Dec 14th, 1860
Please suggest in the Herald, the importance of having in each house of Congress a band of music, that when a Union speech is delivered, the band shall strike up some stirring National air-to harmonize the debates.
If music, prayers, and union speeches, offered up with a firm resolve for each state (in the future) to mind its own business-If thisIrepeat, will not tend to keep this glorious Union together-what in the name of heaven will?
