Dossy and I had a very pleasant trip until we reached the next station when one of the water pipes broke and the cars were obliged to stop and put out the fire and pump by hand. This delayed us two hours. The freight train then came and pushed us along until we got the steam up. We arrived at Greenport safe and sound. Grand Mother expects Emily here next week and she wants ___ammy and you to come down here as soon as you can. As I have not been very long __ I have no more to say.

Saturday, Helen and myself, not Shep, Dotty at Greenport. They were both wild as you can imagine. I did not get a chance to have a word from Shep until Sunday morning he was "flying around" at ____ rate. Dotty seems perfectly controlled once and a while saying _coming next week.
While you are shopping will you please ________a school dress, anything you find that is pretty and will wash. _gingham, calico ________it matters not. Here is _$ for 8 yds..
________says if you can conveniently get her 8 yards of 6 penny calico she would like it. will settle with you when you get home.
