Notes One-piece gown of pink shot silk taffeta. Bodice has rather high waist, wide scooped neck, short sleeves of zig-zags of silk sewn together at points, creating open silk sleeve, over inner sleeve of embroidered net. Armhole seam and neckline edge piped with dress fabric. A "waistband" of about 1", a later addition to drop waistline. Bodice lined with plainweave ecru cotton. Upper front of bodice is lightly padded with batting between dress and fabric lining. Four front darts are boned, as well as center (two bones side by side). Side seams boned and back. Back fastening of hooks and eyes of flattened brass wire. Skirt is tightly gathered to waist all the way around. Lined with glazed plain-weave beige cotton.
